The School of Data Brazil started its activities in 2013. Since then, we have some reasons to celebrate: we created the main conference in the country about data journalism and digital methods (Coda.Br), supported 30 community meet-ups for data journalists and trained more than 6,000 people in our courses.

Check our video below (english subtitles available):

This year, we’re going to deliver the first brazilian award dedicated to data journalism in the fourth edition of Coda.Br. We also have plans to create an e-book, publish open tutorials regularly and expand our trainings to more regions.

Like many other countries, Brazil is facing the increasing risks of misinformation and polarization. Our mission is to support journalists, activists, grassroots organizations and researchers to produce and use digital information to solve real problems, transforming raw data or abstract questions into new evidences and better stories that may lead to social change.

Now, we’re asking your help to keep doing our work and increase the reach of School of Data. You can donate any amount here: benfeitoria.com/escoladedados.

If you have more questions or any issues with the payment system, please contact us ( escoladedados [at] ok [dot] org ) so we can follow-up individually.
